Ingredients
  • Oil - 2 tbsp
  • Cinnamon stick - 1 inch
  • cloves - 5
  • cardamom -3
  • Cashewnuts - 10
  • Onion - 1
  • Green chillies - 2
  • chopped ginger - 1 tsp
  • Grated carrots - 2 cups
  • Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
  • sambar powder - 1 tsp
  • salt
  • cooked rice - 4 cups
  • lemon - 1/2
  • chopped coriander leaves
  • Cuisine: Cooking time: 15 mins Serving: 4 people

    • In a pan, heat some oil.Temper it with cinnamom stick, cloves, cardamom.
    • Add sliced onions, green chillies, chopped ginger and cashews.saute until onions turn translucent.
    • Add grated carrots, turmeric powder, sambar powder and salt.saute until the carrots are cooked completely.

    • Add the cooked rice and mix well.
    • Finally sueeze half lemon and add chopped coriander leaves.Mix it well.
