Ingredients
  • Warm water - 1 Cup
  • Quick Rise yeast (2.25 tsp) - 1 Packet
  • Sugar - 1 tsp
  • Unbleached Bread Flour - 2. 5 Cups
  • Olive Oil - 1 tbsp
  • Salt - 1 tsp
    • To make Garlic Butter
  • Melted Butter - 4 tbsp
  • Garlic powder - 2 tsp

    Garlic Knots : These Garlic knots are so soft , buttery and taste amazing ,which is very easy to make at home.They are so fresh out from the oven.You can use this same dough to make pizza , bread  twist as well.Do try this and share your feedback.

    • In a bowl,Add Warm water ,yeast and sugar and allow it to stand for 10 minutes, until it gets  foamy.If it gets foamy,it means the yeast is active and ready to go.If it not,discard it and proceed with new one.

    • To that yeast mixture,Add Bread Flour ,Olive Oil and required Salt and mix briefly.
    • Using a Stand Mixer, Knead the dough for about 10 minutes until the dough is smooth and Elastic .you can also use hand mixer or your hands to make the dough.Make sure the dough should be smooth and elastic.

    • Transfer the dough to a bowl and cover tightly with a plastic wrap.Keep it in some warm place and allow it to rest for about 1 hour until the dough rise doubled in size.

    • Lightly flour a board,knead the dough for about a minute and divide the dough into about 16 pieces. Roll each piece of dough into a long rope about 5-6 inches long, then tie it into a knot.

    • Place the knots in a  Baking tray lined with parchment paper or silicone mat.Cover it with a lid or a towel or with plastic wrap.Allow the dough to rise for about an hour or until it doubled in size and puffy.

    • To Prepare Garlic Butter:Meanwhile, In a bowl, Add the melted butter and the garlic powder .Stir it well.Brush the knots with the Garlic butter.

    • Bake the garlic knots on a sheet pan at a time for 8-10 minutes in the lower third of the oven, until lightly golden on top in a preheated Oven to 425 degrees F.

    Notes

    • Here i have used bread flour,bread flour will give you a chewier texture because the flour has more gluten.You can also replace it with All Purpose Flour too.
